Frequently Asked Questions


What type of payment do you accept?

We accept cash payments and electronic transfers.  If you wish to pay via credit card, you will either have to transfer the money from your account to ours or we have to do it through the Payfast website.  You can visit them on www.payfast.co.za to read more about credit card payments.

Can we come to your shop?

We are an internet based business and as such, do not have a showroom open to the public.  You can place your order online and pick up the parcel from our premises when we are done packing your order.

How much will postage be?

If you choose the post office, the minimum amount will be R80-00.  With Fastway couriers the minimum amount is R60-00.  Post Net will be R99-00 for a parcel up to 5kg.  K4A Logistics will be R140-00 for a parcel of up to 2kg.  Please also read our Delivery and Payment page for more details.


How long will delivery take?

If we receive payment before 10am, the parcel will go out the same day.  Parcels will go out the next day for payments received after 10am.  Delivery times for each delivery method are set out on our Delivery and Payment page.

Do you give discount for bulk orders?

Unfortunately we are an exclusively designed range, and do not give discount.

Which couriers do you use?

We make us of The Courier Guy, Fastway couriers, Postnet to Postnet, Aramex couriers, Paxi and K4A Logistics. 


Can we pick up the order ourselves to save postage?

Unfortunately we do not allow pick up in person.


Can I send my own courier?

Yes you may certainly send your own courier.


Will I still be charged postage if I send my own courier?

No if you send your own courier, we do not add any postage to your order.  Just choose the Pick Up From Store option at checkout.


Can I save my shopping cart and continue shopping another day?

If you are logged in you can save your cart and continue shopping at a later stage.  If you are shopping as a quest you can not save your cart.


If I need a custom designed item, will you be able to do this for me?

We do custom designed and will do our best to make something unique and very special for you. 


How long do I have to make payment after I've placed my order?

We require payment within 48 hours of you placing your order.


Should I send you proof of payment after I've made payment?

We would appreciate it very much.  You can email (admin@abellajewellery.co.za) proof of payment to us.


Do you ship to countries outside South Africa?

Yes we do.  Please phone us for more details.


Do you make jewellery or beaded items on request?

We certainly do.  You can contact us and we can discuss a quote.


Can I get a refund if I do not like the products I've bought?

We do not give cash refunds.  We only give credit for future orders or you can exchange the item for something else, provided it is unopened within it's original packaging.  Please read the Returns on our Terms and Conditions page for more details.

 

Do you sell real gold and silver jewellery?

We sell mostly costume jewellery but have a few 925 stamped silver items on the website.  Please note that we receive the items as 925 stamped and it may be silver filled sometimes.


Can you alter jewellery for my specific needs?

If possible, yes.  Sometimes it's not possible to alter a item due to the design.


Do you repair jewellery even if it was bought somewhere else, and not from you?

If possible to repair we will repair, yes.


How long will my costume jewellery last?

If looked after correctly, it will last you very long.  Costume jewellery should be handled with care.
